Creating, Managing, and Using AI Mentors
Learn how to create and interact with customized AI mentors
Accessing and Creating an AI Mentor
Access the AI Mentors page to create a new mentor. You can use text files, PDFs, or videos as data sources. The AI will base its responses on this data (interactions with mentors you create on this page are stored locally in your browser).
Integrating an External Chatbot
On this page, you also have the option to integrate an external chatbot into your organization by providing its unique identifier, such as the one created on the Data Portal by your teacher if they also use Ikigenia.

Interacting with an AI Mentor
Once the AI mentor is created, engage in a conversation to ask your questions. Keep in mind that these exchanges are stored locally on your device, thus ensuring your privacy.
AI Mentor Features
AI mentors are designed to be personalized assistants. They can:
- Answer questions on specific topics
- Offer detailed explanations
- Guide users in their revisions
These mentors are trained on the sources you provide, such as book chapters or course notes. Unlike standard chatbots, AI mentors are intended to be more expert on specific topics, and their responses are more in-depth.
Example of use: An AI mentor in biology could answer questions about cellular processes based on textbook chapters you've uploaded.
