Creating and Managing Flashcards
Learn how to use flashcards for effective revision
Creating Flashcards
Flashcards are an important revision tool. They allow you to create sets of cards with a question on one side and an answer on the other. These can be automatically generated from information you have provided to the AI via text PDF files or notes you have digitized (which will need to go through OCR processing).
How to Use
- Go to the Flashcards section to design new flashcards.
- Use PDF files containing the text or concepts you want to memorize (e.g., vocabulary pages or course chapters).
- We recommend not exceeding 20 to 50 pages so that you can organize your flashcards by chapter or theme (1 to 2 pages for vocabulary sheets is also acceptable).
- The interface allows you to view existing card sets, modify their content, and add new ones.
- You can also review cards you've already created for quick and effective revision.
Generate Your AI Flashcards
- Upload a file (a PDF) to create a set of Flashcards.
- The system will extract the content to develop them on a specific topic.
- Avoid submitting overly large PDF files.
- If the PDF file comes from a scan, use optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from scanned images.
Interacting with Flashcards
- Use flashcards to revise concepts.
- Test your knowledge and improve your memorization.
- Regularly consult your recent Flashcards to optimize your revision.
Remember that regularity is key in using flashcards. Frequent revision, even if short, is more effective than a long occasional session.
By effectively using flashcards, you can significantly improve your ability to retain important information and recall it quickly when you need it.
