Get started quickly with Arcania's core features and setup
Arcania can be found in the Interactive Learning Section of the Learning Hub after you sign up to the platform here.
Getting Started
Arcania is a web-based application that allows you to create and manage your own AI avatars. It is designed to be easy to use, and requires no coding experience. This guide will walk you through the process of creating your first avatar.
Step 1 - Launch Arcania
Arcania is a web-based application, so there is no need to install anything. Simply access Arcania from Ikigenia's Learning Hub in your browser. We recommend using Google Chrome.
If you are using web you can start chatting immediately by speaking into microphone or typing into the text box. (Which would use our default AI models)
Step 2 - Customize your AI
Arcania comes with a default avatar (14 Emotion Expressions). You can modify this avatar by clicking on "Settings" button (tools icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
In the settings page, you can change everything about your avatar and AI if you want to run your own local AI models (More on this in the Guides - like here for OpenAI.
If you would like to change the AI model:
From here, navigate to "Appearance" then to "Character Model". Here, you will be able to change the appearance of your avatar by uploading your own 3D model. You can also change the background color of the scene.
You can also design one using VRoid Studio.
Step 3 - Investigate All Buttons
On the top right corner there is a vertical menu, here are the main buttons and what they do :
- Settings: This button will open the settings page, where you can change everything about your avatar and AI.
- Chat History: Show your chat history, and allows save and load.
- Mute: Turn the speaker on and off.
- Camera: Upload your camera image or image file.
- Language: Change the language of the chatbot.
- AI Thoughts: View the AI's internal analysis process, including how it interprets the conversation context, mood detection, and response formulation.
- Lock: Enable parental controls with PIN protection to manage content accessibility and conversation boundaries.
The AI Thoughts feature provides transparency into how the AI:
- Analyzes the emotional context of conversations
- Determines appropriate responses
- Considers conversation history
- Applies content filters and safety measures
The Lock feature allows parents/guardians to:
- Set up a PIN code for access control
