Local Storage (IDB) and Privacy

Discover how local storage is used to preserve the privacy of your data

Mentors and Local Storage

Unlike general chatbots that you can configure and deploy via the Data Portal, AI mentors created through the Learning Hub are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB (IDB).

This means that your conversation history remains private, on your device, and is not stored on external servers. This approach ensures that the history of your interactions with mentors is secure and accessible only from your device. You won't find them on another computer.

Ease of Use

The IkigenIA interface is designed to be intuitive.

  1. The different modules (AI Mentors, Flashcards, Quizzes, etc.) are easily accessible from the Learning Hub dashboard.
  2. Users can see their progress, quickly access their revision tools, and manage their educational resources with ease.
  3. Navigation between modules is smooth, and each section (such as adding files to train the AI) is guided step by step to avoid any confusion.

Although local storage offers excellent privacy, it's important to note that locally stored data can be lost if you clear your browser data. Make sure to regularly back up your important information.

Advantages of Local Storage

  1. Increased privacy: Your data remains on your device.
  2. Quick access: No need for an internet connection to access your previous conversations.
  3. Total control: You can easily delete or manage your data locally.
  4. Performance: Interactions with AI mentors are faster thanks to local storage.

By using local storage for Learning Hub AI mentors, IkigenIA offers a solution that combines performance, ease of use, and respect for privacy, allowing users to fully benefit from the advantages of AI in their learning journey.
